Slugger Shavings 2042.01 - Rounding into form

Post by sjshaw » Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:49 pm

After trudging along the first four sims of the season, the Sluggers finally shifted into high gear with a 6-0 sim and a nine-game win streak.

To nobody's surprise, legend-in-the-making Semei Kwakou has led the charge with a 176 OPS+ and projects to 7.4 WAR (with below-average defensive production).

To some people's surprise, including GM Shaw, "Commie Child" has led the way for the staff, despite his STU stagnating at 6 and his changeup in limbo. Feliciano has ridden his other four plus-plus pitches to a 5-1 record and projected 5.2 WAR, despite a mediocre BABIP of .327. Augusto Sanchez has been... OK in his return to the rotation. His 1.71 ERA is misleading, as he's averaging only 4 IP per start. If the Slugger bullpen were performing up to ratings, this would be acceptable; however, the pen is scuffling right now.
