After some time of trying to catch the strong Bobwhites, the Sluggers have taken advantage of some poor Bobwhite play to make up a 2.5 game ground in the last sim alone to tie Washington for the Atlantic lead.
We're getting strong contributions from several key players. Smurf leads the MBBA in homers (20) and RBI (59), although we have to find a way to mask his poor defense. Hauser is just a beast and won Batter of the Month for May. And Sobah is a great tablesetter.
On the pitching side, we're finally all healthy again. Bannister came back to give us 13 innings last sim, allowing only 3 earned runs. And since being reinserted into the rotation, Cone has been strong (7 ER in 28 IP) despite getting two tough-luck losses where our offense was shut out.
DiBartolomeo continues his ascent into one of the league's better starters and has been our true ace.

You're playing Smurf at 3B? Wowza.

I don't really have a choice without a DH. Matsumoto can't play anything but 1B either.
