Jose Jackson has a message for long-suffering Sluggers fans: "Keep Hope Alive!" The first overall pick in the 2061 draft, and #1 prospect in the BBA, is coming to town next season. After starting his career in AA and later jumping to AAA in the tail-end of the 2061 season, he has shown he is ready for the big leagues.

"I had fun getting my feet wet with the Fire (AA) and the Blues (AAA), but I am ready to get down to serious business. The Sluggers need my help, and I can't wait to reward them for picking me first overall," noted Jackson.

Jackson indeed appears to be a special player, combining exceptional contact and patience with a still-growing powerful bat. He is also good defensively. Whether he ends up playing left field instead of all-star Gustavo Canales remains to be seen. But either way, he is playing every day somehow some way. The rest of the team can feel the excitement.

"Look, I like playing left field, but I will do whatever it takes to win," said Canales. "If this guy is as good as they say, then I just want to be invited to that party."
