50.1 From Bunnies to Hurricanes

Post by crobillard » Sat Feb 19, 2022 11:30 am

"Wow! Greathouse just resigned and they brought in ROBILLARD?!?!"

"You mean that fucking Canadian guy from Edmonton?"

"Well I don't think he's FROM Edmonton, but he was the Jackrabbits GM for a while."

"Ugh, I don't want a Canadian bunny running the Hurricanes. Do you remember how soft those Jackrabbits teams were? ZERO homeruns every season."

"I mean, they won three championships."

"WE CAN WIN MORE! We hit SO many homeruns."

"Fifth in the Johnson League isn't bad I guess."

Reaction to the acquisition of Chris Robillard as General Manager is not being perceived as well in Jacksonville as the organization thought it would be. After all, just like former GMs in Jacksonville, this is another who knows how to win. It's been over a decade since the Hurricanes won it all. Back then, people were still using the internet and the world wasn't in rubble. Robillard is taking a full page advertisement out in the Dugout Dirt. It's a simple and clear mission statement.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Chris Robillard.
I am from Boston, not Canada.
I have worked in Halifax and Edmonton in the BBA.
The teams I have been on have been to the Cartwright 10 of my 20 seasons in the BBA.
Won the Monty series four out of five times.
The Hurricanes will see the Monty series soon, too.

"This fucking guy...."
