Dugout Dirt 49.09 - Jacksonville Adds Seating Capacity

Post by DugoutDesperado » Sat Nov 27, 2021 11:47 pm

The Jacksonville front office announced an upgrade to its relatively new ballpark known to the locals as “The Station”. Seating capacity has been increased from 55,000 seats to 60,000 seats. This was a few years after raising its capacity from 45,000 to 55,000 when the new ballpark was erected along the St Johns River.

During the 2048 season, Jacksonville had the 4th highest attendance at 4.1 million fans behind Calgary and Yellow Springs at 4.6 million and Sacramento at 4.3 million.

The Canes generated $144M in revenue last season and hope to increase that amount with the addition of the extra seats. Over the course of the last 40 home games, half of those games were sellouts.
