Dugout Dirt 48.03 - Canes Claw Past Crawdads 4 to 3

The Canes won their third game in a row squeaking past with a score of 4 to 3 over the New Orleans Crawdads.

After giving up two runs in the top of the 4th, the Canes responded with three runs of their own via a solo shot from Pancho Costa and a two-run homer from Pepe Prieto. The Canes added another run in the sixth inning with another solo shot from Costa

Costa went 3 for 4 with 2 homers on the day while Prieto went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.

Takehide Gertrudes (6-6) gained the win giving up 3 runs in 6.2 innings while striking out 7. Cristo Munoz notched his 22nd save of the season by pitching a perfect 9th.

The win results in the Canes’ record going to 48-38.
