Dugout Dirt 45.144 - Canes PPT - Scott Davis

Post by DugoutDesperado » Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:44 pm

In this installment of the Pitching Prospect Tracker (PPT) where a game is analyzed for a pitcher within the Canes’ farm system, the focus will be on Scott Davis.

The 20 year-old right hander pitched against the Brooklyn Bombers on 17-Jul-2045. The Gotham Heroes came out on winning end of a 2 to 0 score and Davis gained the win improving his AAA league record to 10-3. During the game, Davis pitched 7.1 innings allowing no runs on 1 hits while walking 1 and striking out 9. Out of his 93 pitches thrown, 58 of those pitches were for strikes.

This performance left Davis with a 2.32 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP in his 21 starts for the Heroes.

Rumor has it that the Canes have put Alejandro Ramirez on the trade block in an attempt to make room on the Jacksonville roster for Davis.
