The Canes scored first with a run in the top of the third on a Pancho Costa fly ball that scored Juan Lopez. The Canes scored three more in the 4th with a run scoring single form Daryl Pris and a two-run single by Lopez. The Canes then scored their final three runs in the 7th inning on a two-run double by Costa and an RBI double by Hsin Mei.
Lopez went 3 for 3 on the day while Pris, Mei and Julio Uribe each had two hits.
Carlos Rodriguez (6-2) gained the win allowing 2 runs over 8.1 innings of work.
Rudy Forrest (1-4) allowed 7 runs in 6.1 innings to get tagged with the loss.
The win improved the Canes’ record to 38-38.
