The Canes fell behind 2 to 0 in the second, but scored a run of their own in the bottom of the second with a Mike Schofield grounder to shortstop. After allowing the Cougars score a run in the fourth and two more in the eighth, Omer Dijkstra had a two-run homer in the 9th; but it wasn’t enough.
