The Canes won their second straight game in Charlotte and came out on top by a score of 10 to 4.
After falling behind 2 to 0, the Canes scored two in the third inning with
Pancho Costa’s third homer of the season. The Canes added another run in the sixth on
Hsin Mei’s fourth homer of the year. The big blows came in the 7th and 8th innings mainly as a result of
Omer Dijkstra’s three-run homer and
Juan Lopez’ two-run shot.
Jose Zuniga collected three hits and had 2 RBI on the day.
Carlos Rodriguez (2-1) was credited with the win by pitching 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs.
Adergazoz Quakill (2-2) absorbed the loss allowing three earned runs in 5.2 innings.
The win improves the Canes’ record to 14-15.
