The Canes won their second in a row against the Pikemen from Rockville in a slugfest by a score of 10 to 8.
The Canes scored three runs in each of the first two innings thanks mainly to a 2-run homer in the first by Hsin Mei and a 3-run homer in the second by
Jose Zuniga.
Jeremy Pickens and
Mike Schofield each added a solo shot later in the contest.
On the day, Zuniga went 4 for 4 from the plate.
Nick Mobley (1-0) gained the win by pitching 5.1 innings and allowing 5 runs.
Fernando Guerrero also picked up his second save.
Dwight Dunn (0-1) did not last long in the contest giving up 6 runs in 1.2 innings.
The win improves the Canes’ a record to 3-1.
