When I first saw the results, I was like "yep, figured that probably the worst team would beat the best team I've put together so far." Then was mad that a pitching staff allowing 5+ runs per game faced a (healthy) lineup that was scoring 6+ runs per game and the lineup was held below 4 runs a game (and that's with us scoring 16 of our 23 runs in 2 games, we were held below 2 R/G in the other 4 games). Yeah, I've been lucky in that I feel that pretty much all of my losses are justified as we were either the lesser team or it was close enough that it didn't really bother me (the collapse against CCJ was tough, but they were a good team that year too).
Trading Martinez was either really stupid (as he'd have probably made the difference in a series that we were even in RD and nearly even in hits), or very smart (we lost anyway and getting prospects for the future will help sustain the playoff competitiveness)
