That Good Ole Mountain Dew 2025.1- Alejandro "Bleeping" Soto

Post by elligator » Thu Jan 28, 2016 9:36 am

After news reports surfaced that Alejandro Soto called a players-only meeting to air some grievances with the members of the Greenville Moonshiners, the Moonshiners offices were in an uproar.

"Alejandro Soto?! Who the [bleep] is Alejandro Soto?!" GM Gates Elliott's face was heard to yell in the office Monday morning. VP of Human Resources Wendy Wallenstein reported Elliott's face turned purple and he threw a ledger across the room shattering a window pane. "And why the [bleep] is this son-of-a-[bleep] leading player meetings in our clubhouse?!"

Internal investigations left Security perplexed as they were scrambling to figure out what happened. Alejandro Soto IS listed in MBBA player rolls as playing for the Greenville Moonshiners, and it seems that he had in fact been signed as a minor league free agent by the team in 2018, but there is no evidence that he has ever played for the team at any level.

Elliott threatened to cut the imposter straight out, but they couldn't find a way to cut a player who is currently earning a minor league salary, when he doesn't actually appear on any of the roles. VP of Player Personnel Milton Waddams seemed unable to answer questions about how a player could be drawing a paycheck for seven years without actually being on any team.

Bench coach Brett Rose finally calmed the situation down somewhat, when he offered the following startling advice, "You know, as bad as these jokers have been playing, maybe we should give the young Napoleon a shot? After all, the team does need some solid leadership and they actually played better after the meeting."

good on the kid for getting involved...

On a more serious note, if in-game you go onto the 'all MBWBA players' and sort out by teams, you can find all of these guys 'hiding' after they've graduated from the academy...I cleared out over 50 last year from my team, and found a couple worth keeping around, and put them into my minors

I found the best way to be rid of these guys was to promote them all to 'rookie league' and then release them, as in the past, some of their releases didn't take if I didn't do it in this way...
