30 players arrived to spring training. that included 15 pitchers.
three guys, Mack Milholm, Monte Gaines and Antonio Estrada look like theywill return to the rotation in 2017. They all won 12 games last year. GM Avery Crebel set the biggest roster priority to deal Milholm. Milholm could be dealt any minute and the team is in talks about Gaines.
MIlholm is gone. This means the following guys will battle for three open starter spots
lh Dave Bainbridge - was great in all five starts this spring, Was in the pen last season. 99 mph fastball
rh Jung-hoon Sim - the game puts him number four (three, now that MM is gone) in the rotation. 3 good starts this spring
rh Nathan Ford - 81 overall pick last year
lh Angel 'Beast of Burden' Ramirez - the brightest byfar among the team prospects. he could start the year in the bullpen or back in Gotham (AAA).
lh Joe West - this guy was a disaster in the spring. In September he given a ML contract and he pitched 1/3 inning.
lh Aaron Livingston - this guy was starter the last four seasons.
rh Daniel King - making $5.5million. I doubt he will be offered a contract after this season.
lh Jeff Clay - picthed 220 innings in first two seasons, then 3 innings the last two seasons.
