Not one to throttle back on their youthful pitching situation, the Canes organizations promoted their last number one pick to the AA Trois Riveries squad. The 20 year-old right hander, Stephen Best, responded with two strong outings resulting in a 2-0 record.

In his two starts, Best allowed 1 run in 10.2 innings while striking out 14 and walking 2. This resulted in an ERA of 0.84 and a WHIP of 0.94.

When asked about his experience so far in AA, Best said, " It is been a tiring experience, but I am not going to stand pat on what I have done after one week."
