Some may say this article is a last minute ploy to reach the minimum six team news required each year by the Brewster head office, and they'd be right. But ploys can also be informative which this one is.
After the complete overhaul of the Robins' roster after the 2062 season by incoming general manager Shoeless, a focus was made on pitchers who could throw strikes and keep the ball on the ground. In just the second season of Shoeless' reign, the Robins' starting pitching ranked in the top three for the entire season, headlined by rookies Dave Labonte (3.51 ERA), Luis Medina (3.44 ERA), and Bobby McHone (3.29 ERA). With three rookie pitching campaigns so strong and equal, the FOBTNWCH has decided to break precedent (despite this being the first year of this award) and name all three young starters as Pitching MVPs.
