Brooklyn State of Mind: Robins Acquire Tatham From Krill (2062.5)

In what they hope is an upgrade to their outfield options, the Robins swung a trade with Bikini. In exchange for $250,000 large, the Robins acquired Phil Tatham. The hope is that Tatham is going to provide a boost for the Robins after finding himself caught in a numbers game with the Krill. Tatham has struggled with his defense at times, but has at least shown some ability to get on base.
Robins Chief Baseball Officer Ben Heuring believes that getting Tatham is going to help make the Robins a little better. "Obviously the standings are where they are, and the chance to add someone who has the chance to improve our club was one worth exploring. Phil was caught in a numbers game out there in Bikini, and I wouldn't be doing my job if I wasn't trying to make my team better. Also, I know that there has been some speculation about if some of our pieces could be on the move. All I can say is that given how close some of the playoff races look to be as of this point in time, that means that we could get the chance to do some things.
