The Robins have had an up and down year, but ultimately this year has been a success for the Robins when judged against the past few years. As September rolled along, the Robins fans focused their attention on both finishing as close to .500 as possible, and Lawrence Miranda's pursuit of the Johnson League batting title.
The batting title is arguably the toughest award to win in the BBA because it requires a player to be able to collect hits throughout a long season. Baseball is a game that is going to have peaks and valleys over a 162 game season. Miranda has been hitting BBA pitching since he was promoted to Brooklyn in 2056, and has settled into his role as the leadoff man in the Robins lineup, and often set the table for the power hitters in the Robins lineup behind him. During the back half of the season, Miranda ended up hitting at a consistent clip and ended up winning fairly comfortably. So while Miranda will be watching the playoffs, he has helped to guide Brooklyn closer to ending the drought.

It's basically all due to the 7x increase in HR since that accounts for extra hits too. 14 HRs seems perfectly reasonable for 5 Power with that high of Contact. 3.9 WAR at that age - great player.
