Brooklyn State of Mind: Robins CF Retires (2057.2)

Post by lordtoffee » Tue Nov 07, 2023 3:14 pm

The Robins are going into this offseason with a completely silent tone coming out of the team headquarters. Nobody has been made available for an interview, with "The Decision" being a complete mystery. What does that mean? Is it one decision or multiple decisions? Does Bill Simmons come over to call them out for stealing his idea for the infamous LeBron special way back in 2010? Who knows? But one thing that the Robins do know is that Po-sin Shi is not going to be playing for the Robins next year.

The 40 year old felt that it was time for him, after a long and productive career and finishing up his 2nd stint with the team as one of the last links to the Alan Ehlers era. "I felt it was time, and I want to spend some time with my family before deciding on the next stage of my life. I want to thank Ben, Alan, all of the managers, teammates, and fans that I made along my time through the BBA. I don't know what this Decision is, as I'm not privy to any front office decisions. I wish Brooklyn all the best, and want to see them get back to the playoffs so that their great fans can get to see October baseball again."

Should be interesting to see what happens when he gets on the HOF ballot down the line.
