Brooklyn State of Mind: Morales Jr. Has Broken Out (2056.2)

Emilio Morales Jr. is the type of player that is often seen on a team that is quite frankly struggling despite plenty of movement and churn. Since being brought up at a young age a la some of the prospects in the MLB, Emilio has grown into his body and slowly but surely found his footing in Brooklyn, and has shown a bunch of encouraging signs and with the Robins rumored to be in much better financial help given some decisions that are coming down the pipe, Emilio will hopefully get his success this year on a much needed stage.

With the Robins struggling and looking destined for another high draft pick, Morales has been quietly putting together a great season. His infield defense has improved, and his power numbers have a great chance to be career highs in multiple categories in both traditional and analytic based stats that have been used to varying degrees in this era of BBA competition. Morales Jr. will probably be playing more infield next given that his ZR in the outfield is about as sparkling as a truck that has been tough mudding, but the former top prospect has been showing that patience and sticking to a plan after a couple of tough years has bore fruits, and with more reinforcements coming via the draft and potential moves to bolster a farm system ranked in the bottom part of the league, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
