Brooklyn State of Mind: How Do You Solve The Problem Of the Pitching (2053.5)

Welcome back to WFAN Radio here in New York City. The BBA Series starts tonight as Sacramento will be visiting Phoenix, the Devils are in Boston tonight, and St. Johns is hosting Kentucky at the Garden. But before we get into those stories, the Robins have been an absolute dumpster fire for the past couple of years. Ben Heuring can say whatever he wants about the X Generation, but he's picking near the top of the draft. And the biggest reason why is the pitching. The Robins allowed 993 runs this year. 993! For those of you counting at home, that is an average of 6 runs a game. Did you know that this year in the BBA nobody averaged 6 runs a game on offense? Maybe a college team could score that many runs in the old metal bat days of the 1990s in the fictional NCAA, but seriously.

Every single pitcher should be up for sale, even if the Robins had to eat salary. What this team needs to do is to get a whole new rotation and pump a ton of money into getting a competent bullpen. If the Robins could knock their runs per game average down by a run, then they would have a chance. There are some teams who are up against the cap and would need to make some tough choices. You have trade chips! Use every single way that the BBA legally allows! Fix it!
