Brooklyn State of Mind: Robins Fans Angry At All Star Game Decisions (2050.4)

Post by lordtoffee » Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:57 pm

Robins fans are angry at the direction of the team based on the long stretches of empty seats at home games, but for once they were able to turn their ire towards someone else. That would be the Johnson League All Star team, and how they used the one Robin who was elected to the roster. Geraldo Eremitani has been one of the better catchers in the game this year, with his WAR near the top of the Johnson League ranks, and he was an All Star selection that seemed to be very much a non issue. He was all smiles during the parade, and was looking forward to getting into the game a little bit, even if he wasn't going to be the starter behind the plate.

As the innings passed and Geraldo stayed on the bench, Robins Twitter was aghast. The hashtag #WeWantGeraldo started to trend across the Robins viewing area, responding to Geraldo sitting on the bench with a glum look on his face. Reports have it that the Chief Baseball Officer of the Robins was so distraught that he turned the channel to watch old reruns of Skin.
