We interrupt your chatter about the World Series for a question that Robins fans have been asking. With a pitching staff that is rumored to be overhauled in the next few years, a certain prospect in the middle innings has been touted as a closer of the future. But is it true? Let's discuss. Vonne Baloloy had one of the lower ERA among Robins relivers this year in his second season of BBA experience. Some would argue that Vonne was moved to the BBA too soon out of college, but you have to do what you have to do, and Brooklyn was desperate for pitching.
Baloloy will get a look, as the current closer is out of contract and will likely move on, as the club plans to have the late innings be an open competition based on discussions in the owner's box during recent "staff events" at Ebbets Field. These events include watching the BBA playoffs on a big screen, all while writing notes about the upcoming free agency class who appeared in said games. Baloloy has the ratings to close, but will likely need to have some seasoning as a setup man, unless something changes in the club's thinking. When asked about Bololoy, a club source said that they expected him to struggle, but he has improved in his second year in the show, and that if he continues down this path, that he will get the chance to compete at the back end of the bullpen.

I'd love this guy in my bullpen in any role, which isn't a bunch of buloloy.
