After Alan Ehlers announced his decision to step down as GM, the Brooklyn Robins searched far and wide for a replacement. As it turns out. the answer was going into the UMEBA and picking up one of their GMs yet again. The Robins chose to tab the former Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers GM Ben Heuring to see if he can continue to build the Robins into a contender. At his press conference, Heuring was excited and had some interesting thoughts about his vision for the team, and what Robins fans can expect over the coming years.
Heuring said "I want to thank the ownership group for giving me the chance to work in the BBA. I really enjoyed my time in Jerusalem, and only would have left there for an opportunity that was too good to pass up. This team is in a good spot thanks to Alan and his hard work over the years, and getting to work in a huge market like Brooklyn in a very strong Atlantic is a challenge that I am looking forward to tackle. My goal is to keep this very good core intact and make some additions that give us what I feel is the best chance to win day in and day out. That being said, I have some additional goals that go beyond what ownership has set me. Think of it as a sort of Brooklyn DNA."
Reporters were skeptical about what a Brooklyn DNA would look like, but Heuring said that he would explain it later on. Heuring certainly seems like a good replacement, having taken the Hammers to consecutive playoff appearances and being close to winning an United Cup last year before losing in 6 to Istanbul. The one critique about Heuring is that he has not won a division title, and that is something that sources close to him have said is something that he wants to change. Heuring also is notable for being the first UMEBA GM to guide his team to the postseason after winning a Game 163 against Athens, and was known for favoring offense over defense with Jerusalem.

The real question is whether or not a covert op was executed to secretly bring Hall, Martinez and Johnson with him.

I can neither confirm or deny those rumors.DugoutDesperado wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 6:06 amThe real question is whether or not a covert op was executed to secretly bring Hall, Martinez and Johnson with him.
Me too. There is a good amount of talent and cap space, and the Atlantic is a very interesting division these days.
All will be unveiled in good time. Brooklyn DNA sounds a bit cringey, but it's about me finally figuring out how I want to run a team with some influences based on real life ball.shoeless.db wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 4:23 pmBrooklyn DNA??? You're treading awfully close to Kocherschmeltz territory.
