That moment when you notice the Robins lead the Johnson League in homeruns.
We've heard about it for years.... 'The Robins are going to be good', "World's greatest rebuild", 'Los Longball Hermanos". Yet here we are in September of 2041, four seasons into the rebuild and Brooklyn is still garbage.
Though..if you look real closely between the smoke storm of their 69-73 record, you can kinda-sorta see a good baseball team there. In fact the Brooklyn Robins currently lead the Johnson league in homers this season.
Felipe Vega is the big name here. Or is he? Does anyone even know who he is? Never mentioned in any podcast, or listed on valuable good young player features, Vega has quietly became one of the leagues most violent bats. His .303/.397/.595 is nearly identical to the one he put up last season.
Other big bats in the lineup include José Ramos, Sawyer Slizz, Art O'Bryan, José García, Richard Drouin, and Mzee Kiango. A group of under rated sluggers that destroy right handed pitching.
So with an offense that appears to be pushing it's way toward the top of the league. One has to wonder what baby Yoda thinks about the Brooklyn pitching staff?
