The ninth edition of the MBBA Fall League saw the George Town Islanders post their best ever record, 25-16, just beating out the 24 wins they had in 2021 but they missed out on the post season. Losing their last three games left them a game behind Bogota in the SL2 Western Division and they also missed out on a wildcard berth to Paraiso who despite winning 27 games had to settle for the wildcard after Caracas won 28.

The Islanders had a winning record both at home and away but weren't too good in close games. They only won four of their nine games decided by one run and failed to win either of their two extra innings games. They also had a strong final month winning 18 out of 25 games in November but rue those three final losses that carried them out of the play-offs. They were patient with the bat, drawing the second most walks in SL2 which helped them post the third best OBP and scared the opposition by running everywhere and tying for the second most steals in SL2. Also pleasing for a franchise that under GM Laverick appreciates good defence was the fact that they ranked third in defensive efficiency in SL2.

Jose Morales was the star not only of the Islanders but was one of the best 2024 Fall league players too. His 18 homers were the most by any Fall league player in 2024 and joint second highest ever (Fun Fact: his older brother, Javier Morales, hit the most ever (22) in 2017) while he was also second in RBI (46) & OPS% (1.224) in 2024. He also tied in batter WAR (3.2) with Ernesto Chavez from the Las Vegas organisation. Jose was signed by Brooklyn as an International free agent in 2019 and in 2023 reached as high as Double-A Memphis. His 2024 Fall League SL2 Outstanding Hitter award earned him an invite to the Brooklyn Spring camp where a .250/.340/.636 triple slash and five homers meant he broke camp still with the Robins. They will give him first shot at replacing Rob Childers at first although if he doesn't perform with the bat and glove that chance could be short.

Heath Delgardo, Brooklyn's 2024 fifth rounder, hit .397 to top the George Town record book and his 58 singles not only tops the George Town charts but is a Fall League record too. After splitting his first pro season between Lexington and Newark that Fall League showing has helped him get an early 2025 promotion to Memphis.

On the pitching front Ron Rodriguez, the Robins 2024 second round pick, impressed posting a 4-1, 2.83 record in his eight starts
