June brings awards for Robin's players 2024-13

The June JL Pitcher of the month Award was presented to Salvador Barrón after a commanding month. He made six starts, pitching 45 innings and came out with a 5-0 record. He only allowed 39 hits, struckout 35 and walked 12, posting a 2.36 ERA.

Barrón in his fourth season in Brooklyn after arriving for Munich in the EBA Rule 6 draft was well on the way to an MBBA career season having already posted nine wins and only three losses in 2024 so far with a 3.28 ERA.

Meanwhile Robin's much discussed Rule 6 pick this year,Victor Talboom, picked up the June JL Rookie of the month Award following a month where he hit for a .292 average in 26 starts sending seven balls over the fences and driving in 17 runs as well as crossing the plate 12 times himself.

Snatched from Buffalo with a hideously large contract after they had selected him following a growing reputation in his five years in Paris Talboom had been the subject of much derision around the MBBA with most people expecting him to fail and hit below .220. So far though in 80 games he had hit .250 with 16 homers and 41 RBI, he also had an OBP of .284 with 14 walks and 33 runs scored. His defence in Centre wasn't quite as reliable as Brooklyn had expected but it wasn't a total disaster as previous outfielders had been and he hadn't been tagged with an error so far either.
