Brooklyn probably wasn't going to make the playoffs anyway for a variety of factors, but winning less than 10 games in back to back months was the official nail in the coffin. So the fact that they might actually not be the worst team in the BBA after that is either a progression to the mean or the sign of a RNG generator that had some mercy. That is for someone else to see. So if you are looking to watch the Robins, there is one trade that they made to watch. No, not the one with Montreal. The one with Bikini.
Phil Tatham ended up coming over to the Robins in June for a little cash. The idea was that he could help add some competition in the outfield, and was given the chance to start in LF. Now obviously the defensive issues that the Robins have are going to be addressed. But to Tatham's credit, he has been able to contribute with his bat. "Obviously this hasn't been the season that we wanted here in the Northeast. But my goal is to get to .300. We also are trying to get 63 wins as a team. To survive May and June and not lose 100 games is a goal worth striving for. I am currently hitting close to .300, and if a few more good games by me result in us getting to 63 wins, then that would be something to at least be interested in."
