In the offseason, there were warning signs that the Robins were going to struggle to take the next step to getting back to the playoffs, and it turns out that the injury reaper has not only been around the Robins all year, the reaper has earned gold status on all of the airlines that the Robins use. With the constant changes to the lineups being enforced with injuries, the chemistry for the Robins has been off and the flights from San Francisco to Brooklyn have resembled a shuttle.
Pepe Espinosa has been the unwitting symbol of the luck that the Robins have. He has missed a good chunk of the season with his ligament injury and has now hurt his back. "It's hard because I want to be out here, and with the Atlantic being so tough this year, we had hoped to be in the mix. Sadly, we have ourselves to blame. I want to be out there with my teammates, but you can't blame the front office and manager for guys getting hurt. Baseball is a sport, and guys are going to get hurt even if you have the best medical staff money can buy."
Sources in Brooklyn have indicated that the Robins aren't worried about blowing this team up yet, though with the playoff races being tight at this point in the year, certain decisions are going to have to be made quickly.

Glad to see that I inspired Ron. Quite frankly, I doubt this team will make the playoffs. But I'm an optimist by nature.
