Brooklyn State of Mind: 2052 Is the Date To Keep an Eye On (2050.6)

It's no secret that the Robins are locked into a couple of bad contracts and retentions that will make 2051 more of the same as they continue to aim to keep the fan interest up with improving the financial house. But on team forums, there is a rallying cry going out. Once the 2051 season ends, the Robins will have a whole lot of cap room. And the plan is to be able to spend to the cap with some careful planning to maximize the chances.

Now of course the Robins will not be punting in 2051. That is something that the Robins front office would not do, and the plan is to continue by looking to improve based on the market, while trying to get a couple of contracts off the books, while looking at guys that bring in good fan interest at the right salary. The goal is to try and get close to 70 wins if at all possible, as that would be an 11 game improvement. With another high draft pick coming up, and the team already hard at work planning to execute this rebuild, then the Robins should get back to where we want them to be.
