Brooklyn State of Mind: Fire Heuring? (2049.3)

Somewhere, Dave Gettleman is thinking that this rebuild might not be going according to plan. With a farm system ranked in the bottom half of the league, and the big name mercenary signings only worth it from a souvenir sales perspective, it's clear that the Robins need a serious course correction. Whatever ownership wants, it seems like Heuring is content to lurch from crisis to crisis. I don't care about signing Kondo and Armstrong, when we needed to invest in youth. Thank the gods that there is a chance to draft in the high slots again. Robins fans deserve a lot better.

In an office somewhere in Brooklyn, said GM looked at his computer screen. The former Hebrew Hammers GM wasn't worried about the criticism, and he knew that the plan was going to work. All it would take would be patience, and the right investments. Of course, every GM wanted to say that, and he wasn't going to tank. After all, he was spending to the top of the cap, no matter what the critics said. Brooklyn would be strong again, and he wouldn't be fired.
