For the record, it was a legal catch because he left the ground in fair territory and his momentum carried him out of play.

Good catch...but I thought you had to stay in-bounds for a catch like that to count as an out.

Was this ruled a HR?

Edit: Just read your entire post. Wow. I didnt think that was the rule. Interesting...

Yeah I didn't know that was the rule either. Fantastic catch though.
