Realignment

Post by 7teen » Fri Nov 18, 2011 10:13 am

What are everyone's thoughts on the changing landscape in MLB?

I hate it. My main reason for hating it is over the extended amount of interleague play that it appears will be happening as a result of it. I'm ready for interleague play to go away.

I am ok with the realignment generally, although I agree that having interleague games all the time stinks.

Having Houston being able to lose to the White Sox more often will be nice 8)

Stupid. Let's move the Brewers to the NL and then 15 years later move the Astros to the AL? Dumb Dumb Dumb.

I would welcome the Astros to the AL West (?). promotes a big Texas rivalry.

As far as inter-league, well, like the DH, I'm afraid that's here to stay. But I have wondered about the fairness of that, since those games factor into the standings. How do we know all teams are playing even strength teams in inter-league play? Ive never looked into much, because frankly I've never liked inter-league play. When it was around for several years, I kinda enjoyed the Texas-Houston rivalry games, but if they put the Astros in the AL, then we could do away with that inter-league series, and all others, as far as I am concerned. At least in the Rangers-Cards World Series, it felt like a more traditional WS, since the teams had rarely played against each other.

I don't mind the Astros moving but I've always hated interleague play. Id rather they eliminate that completely not increase it.

Astros in the AL west, hate it...for the angels, A's and Seattle so much more travel....it doesnt make sence why they did it...
