I'm sure pitchers from that era skirt the steroid issue because it just didn't seem so obvious with them. I don't disagree with what you say, I just remember his "domination" with Randy Johnson during that time period and his ultra-competitive-ness. Being a Pete Rose fan (during his baseball playing days) I certainly appreciate ultra-competitive-ness. :orly: :innocent:

I'm a big fan of Pete Rose, the baseball player. Not so much any of the rest.

I actually met him at an event about 18 months ago. He signed a picture for me for free (believe it or not). He wasn't much of a talker face to face but once he started speaking in front of the entire crowd his stories were incredible. He was pretty funny. It was a really good experience. I wasn't sold on going because I really haven't liked him since his playing days, but it was an entertaining night for sure.

Just remembering to come back to this…my ballot would have been:

Roger Clemens
Barry Bonds
Mariano Rivera
Edgar Martinez
Sammy Sosa
Larry Walker
Roy Halliday
Mike Mussina
Todd Helton
Scott Rolen
