Just turned it on, gotta love the drama (still not sure of how to feel with the one-game wildcards though, ha).

I think the one game wild card is great. Gives an extra team a shot at the division series and it's really exciting to watch. Plus I like the advantage that it gives to the best team in the league.

Yeah. I mean a 1-1 game in the bottom of the ninth and the Game 7 feel it brings can't really be argued against.

Gotta root for the Cubs here as they have Hamels (Phils fan... and Orioles fan though unrelated to Hamels, ha).

Thinking it's going extras unless Schwarber can walk it off here

I was just texting a friend and he's hoping for 15 innings. I think I'm rooting Rockies just cause they'd be an easier matchup for the dodgers if somehow they got past the Brewers.

Nice. Dodgers are fine too because of Utley... and Machado...

As far the championship, I put $20 on 4/1 odds for the Red Sox winning it a couple months ago. At the time they were like the third or fourth best odds (I think HOU, LA, CLE were ahead of them when I put the bet in), so I went with it. I see the Vegas sportsbooks have the Red Sox as the best odds at 3/1 at the moment.

My bet would be 11 innings for this game.

That's pretty good odds on the Sox.

I'll say Cubs in 12 innings for this game ifi had to guess. I'm sure the Brewers fans are rooting for 30 innings or so.

Arenado is right up there with Beltre as one of the best defensive 3B of all time.

Shit might as well say amoung the best overall 3B of all time.

Indeed. Love these kinds of games where you can cut the tension in the stadium with a knife. Was great how you could hear a pin drop when the runner was called safe at second.

A couple of weird plays too...

That double that got stuck in the ivy... lol. Luckily it didn't cost Colorado, but that was kind of BS.

And Baez grabbing the Arenado on the fielder's choice. I'm glad the umpires didn't call runners interference because it didn't look a double play was feasible and fortunately Colorado got out of that inning too.

I was born/raised in Denver and I've lived in Houston now for 15 years... so I'm definitely fans of both teams. I used to live about 2 miles from Mile High, which is where the Rockies played before Coors Field. I was in College and could go to day games sometimes. The stadium was huge and last minute outfield seats were $1... lol, perfect for a starving college student.

Right now, I'm definitely more of an Astros fan. This team has me so sucked in completely. I used to take my kids a few years ago when they were sucking but just coming out of it... it was easier to get good seats then. This year though? Not so much.... I guess "Fan Interest" is at an all time high.

Anyway, time to stock up Xanax for the next few weeks.

Alex Bregman is crazy good too. He's a former shortstop who moved to 3rd because of Correa. He played there quite a bit while Correa was hurt this year.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but Bregman made an amazing throw on a play at home last year in Game 7 against the Yankees that blew my mind... It was such a ballzy play and I remember thinking it was wrong base to go to at the time..... until he got the out.

If the ball had been put anywhere except right here, the runner would have been safe...

Does ANYONE want to face the Brewers right now? 20-7 since September 1st. Completely dominant.
