I pre-ordered it as I do every year and now maybe Matt can shed some light on this. In one of the road to release emails it mentioned an option for text-to-speech. Is this going to be as amazing as I think it could be?

Text-to-speech? Can you explain what this does?

Well from reading the boards it seems as if instead of having to read the text play by play, your computer will do it for you! Im sure its gonna sound robotic and whatnot but still. This is a pretty amazing step as far as immersion goes.

IF this speech thing sounds british, I would not enable this option. (Nothing against brits though).

THIS is something I have been waiting forever for. Hopefully we will actually be able to set up our bullpens and have the AI listen!

Same here. I hope this roles works correctly on online leagues. I hate when CPU uses my mop-up reliever to close the game.

I wasn't aware there was a problem with that. I very rarely have OOTP crashes.

Have you played with the text to speech? I'm blown away. Sure the guy is a bit robotic but holy crap its something else to be able to listen to the game is if it were on radio.

Im on windows 8. I just turned the setting on and it worked like a charm.
