Jeffrey's photography thread

Post by drummerJ99 » Mon Feb 21, 2022 7:01 pm

Some may know that I'm a hobbyist photographer. Was photographing high school sports for my local newspaper from 2017-2020 until they were bought out by a bigger company. Now it's normally wildlife with some sports and concerts every once in awhile. But have been given the chance to earn media credentials with Pro Hockey News. They do a 2 game trial before giving you full-fledged press credentials. My first trial game was Yesterday. So figured I'd start this thread out with some photos from yesterday's Cincinnati Cyclones game.

Thanks guys. Hopefully somehow this can help me branch out into more professional sports or atleast the minor leagues.

On the positive side for Pro Hockey News, it only took one game for them to decide they like my work and want me to join them. They even used one of my photos as their twitter cover photo.

Shooting professional hockey every weekend doesn't do well for BBA writing. LOL Thankfully about a month left in the season. So then it'll calm down for me. Here's a few of my favorite from past couple weekends. Need to figure out if it's possible to post clickable thumbnails.

Can also follow me at Pro Hockey News: https://prohockeynews.com/phns-best-sho ... 0332031250 or twitter @everroadphotos (still new at that)

The kids face is this one makes this image a keeper. LOL

And we have a wildlife refuge about 15 minutes from us that we go checkout once or twice a month. Hasn't been much out there lately but finally got a decent picture of a robin.

It was Star Wars night last night in Cincinnati. Here's a graphic I made for last night's game for my PHN Twitter. Other photos found on PHN can be found here: https://prohockeynews.com/phns-best-sho ... rtlanders/

And another photo I liked from last night's game.

Was last home game of the season last night, they ended up losing in a shootout but they did clinch a playoff spot. Not sure I'll be able to make it to playoff games to shoot any of those. But has been a fun season.

This was after he gave up his 3rd goal of the game with his team losing 3-1.

But they'd end up winning in a shootout.

Went and watch my uncle race flat track last night. The first time he's raced in probably 30 years. He grew up doing it with my grandpa and uncles. The last one quit about 10 years ago after wrecking and breaking his leg.

And just a random bird photo from last weekend.
