That is a very cool story - I would love to have seen those guys at their peak. Imagine the atmosphere in the stands that day. It clearly must have been electric to impress a 12-year-old boy to the point that he remembers it decades later.

And you're right about taking the time now to talk parents and other friends or relatives in or near their golden years. Looking back now, I know there are a lot of things I wish I'd asked my dad and mom.
