Seeing its pouring down outside so nothing to do, Disney+ is on it's way here and it's a cheap price of £50 for the year. Actually cheaper than Prime, Netflix and BritBox the others I get, although I did drop Netflix as for me it isnt worth getting every month.

Anyway what's it like? For me personally I'd get it for the films and that Mandalorian is it? I know there was a big fuss about The Simpsons but they show that on Sky and will continue to do so, so how good, bad is it?

i have had it since it came out in the states (since we use a VPN for everything here in Bahrain anyway), and it is great ESPECIALLY if you have kids.

We have this but we also have 2 kids. However, we have enjoyed spending some nights watching Smart Guy, Boy Meets World, and some of the other shows that we watched growing up(We're 30). Also not to mention all the movies...

We were paying for it monthly but Verizon is running where if your an unlimited customer you get Disney+ for a year for free so we hopped on that and so it's essentially free for us since we were already with Verizon.

they also have (or at least had back when i got it) a deal where you get disney+/hulu (ad version)/ESPN+ for $12.99/month, which basically works out to buy 2, get 1 free.

Only a stand alone here, no hulu or ESPN. Yeah I'd like them to be added but I have NFL gamepass and MLBtv as my treats plus we get sports with Sky so not a big miss.

Wife and I have had it since release here in the states due to being on Verizon Unlimited plans. So got a year of it free. The wife seems to like it but to be honest I haven't really paid much attention to it. I really should one of these days though.

Far as I've seen Verizon isnt over here, it's not to bad really as we've dropped Netflix for the moment and we'll just get it on a monthly basis so that should pay for Disney+.

Well it finally arrived and have to say I can see it being my favourite TV app, found myself being drawn to National Geographic and Cosmos. When normality returns I think my viewing will be Disney+, MLBtv and NFL Gamepass and not much more. Money wise Disney+ is head and shoulders the best entertainment app I've tried.

Disney will eventually pull all its products back in. Marvel, simpsons, Star Wars, (btw) check out clone wars is great if you haven’t watched it - will be tying into the madalorian S2 as I understand. I tried the DC service for all the library of animated DC movies - awesome - and swamp thing. But ended up cancelling it. Too many $ fer services now - cut the cord a while a go - but u gotta watch at all these other services monthly charges can add up too.

Damn - that doesn't help. If you download the app now - MLB.TV is letting anyone watch any game from 2018-2019 seasons

I'm not surprised they've done it, I used to subscribe yearly but changed to monthly a couple years back. Anyway I was wondering if anyone who subscribes got a refund?
