I used to brew beer with my cousin when I was in my teens, that was many moons ago and I mean many. So for the last few years I've been saying I'll start home brewing again but you know how it goes you say it but never do it.

So this year I kicked myself up the butt and got the kit, now my tastes have changed over the years, I went through a bitter stage (that's what we brewed), then you couldn't get a good pint of bitter in a pub so I went over to lager (fosters usually) now for the last few years it's been Cider which is what I have brewing at the moment.

So what if anything do you brew?

I view this like I view growing a garden... Why put in the work when someone else can do it for you and I can just go buy it?

Is it satisfying knowing you put in the hard work and effort, probably. Is it worth it in the end? To me, no!

Beer/cider does the work for you, probably spend more time and energy going and buying a ready made beer.
