APBA's Version of the Brewster
Not sure if there are many APBA/Strat-O-Matic players in the Brewster, but Fangraphs' most recent podcast interviews Woody Studeman, who has been involved in an APBA league that is entering it's sixtieth season! I figured members of a long-time running OOTP league would be interested in hearing about the longest-running baseball simulation league. Here's the link: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/effectively ... bang-said/ (start at 53:56 to hear Woody)
Additionally, a 2004 article from The Hardball Times written by Woody's brother (and founder of THT), Dave, is referenced during the interview and can be read here: https://tht.fangraphs.com/apba_paean/ (You'll notice a familiar -- or not! -- last name that's quoted in the article. )

Re: APBA's Version of the Brewster
No, just five years or so in the 70s in Woody's league, then created a local league with his friends in the early 80s that ran for about 10 years or so. I can still remember late nights as a 8 or 9 year old watching these grown men in my family's home rolling dice and talking baseball...it was fantastic.

Re: APBA's Version of the Brewster
I assume you've told him about the Brewster? He would be one of the few relatives, I'm guessing, who would understand the madness ...

I asked Joe that same question when he applied. Loved his dad’s stuff

Jeeeze - they burry the lead with the serial killer in the league...
Another thing I noticed when clicking on the link to the APBA was this YouTube clip from a NYTime piece on the league. I took a screen cap... check out the guys name...
