Computer Help!

So, tried to load OOTP. Got stuck at 60% - Loading Messages. Happened a couple of times. Whole computer froze every time. Tonight I waited a few minutes, notice comes up that says there’s an issue and it’s going to automatically reboot. When reboot happens, this screen pops up. What next? I know a little but this has never happened to me before. Help!

No, it doesn’t pop up upside down. Just how my iPad grabbed it.

Did a hard reset. Took a little longer than usual but now it’s showing that it is doing a Windows update.

Okay, updates complete and reboot seems to be okay. Scared to try and run OOTP though. Anyone have any thoughts or insight? Could running OOTP have that much of an effect on my hard drive where I should get it taken care of before it just dies? Could the updates that were just run fix things?

Should I think about loading OOTP and getting the Brewster up and running on my wife's computer until I can get my laptop fixed/looked at?

I would suggest doing an uninstall of OOTP and just starting fresh if you feel like OOTP could have been a contributor to the issue.

Outside of that I feel like it's probably just a computer issue.

To me that looks more like your computer is failing rather than any ootp problem. The message about installing it operating system suggests either the hard drive might be failing hence the computer can’t find the operating system or perhaps one of the windows updates didn’t install properly and is now causing problems as windows may be corrupted

Thanks Nige. I'm going to get it checked out. The weird thing to me is that it has only done this when I try to load OOTP. The reboot and the windows updates and everything seems to be working fine. Havent tried to load OOTP again though - mostly scared that will be the end of it all. Good time for the season to basically be over - less stress on me to figure this out as quickly.

Maybe ootp is stored in the sector of the hard drive that is failing? Or loading it calls up a routine that is corrupted by the last windows update?

Or more likely I'm talking bollocks, best get it checked by an expert lol
