Round 1 61
Round 2 63
Round 3 59
Round 4 60
Total -41

Probably my best playing yet. Especially rounds 3 and 4. Missed a 5 footer that was nearly a gimme putt that would have given me back to back 59s to close. Looks like I'll make the cut by 2 shots and then hopefully climb up the leaderboard with my round 3 and 4 score. Probably gonna miss an exemption by about 8-10 strokes I'd say. Hoping that score can land me in the top 20 in my second Web event.

Exemption to A, finish last, back to B...I should have quit after 2 rounds. Round 4 I was -3 through 3. 4th hole, drive hits in fairway and bounces off cliff into the water...next shot from rough comes up just short and lands in water...putt for double bogie lips out (about lip out #15)...triple bogie after shooting -8 through 3 rounds. I'm done...

You still playing Dug?

I've been trudging along in WEB. Not having a ton of success. I've made 4 of the 6 cuts I've played in but very little success above that. Mainly finishing anywhere from 50-70th with one top 30 finish thus far. My putting on the WEB courses lacks a lot to be desired. Anytime I get one inside 10 feet I typically have about 3-5 foot of break and down hill making it nearly impossible for me to make a putt.

I'm still playing. Last week was Master's Qualifying and apparently you can get a strike for that, even though all they did was trick up the Masters course and make it no fun to play.

Otherwise, I have been struggling one round every tournament and I am floundering in B....I have been incredibly busy at work with no time to write and barely time to export. I have been rushing through my rounds which has caused some of my issues. Hopefully things will slow down now and I can get back to playing more relaxed.

Hell, based on what I have heard, just making the cuts on the Web is a big hurdle. Glad you are doing well. I would like to get to Web still this season, but I need to put 4 rounds together and avoid the ridiculous double bogies I seem to let slip in there...

It really is tough. I've made the cut right on the number several times. It is nice to make the cut but if you make it on the number you have no shot at really competing for a win or much. There is little to no room for error on the WEB. Taking bogeys on holes pretty much kills you.

I shot -4 in round 1 this week on a relatively easy course. Has me down near the bottom of the leaderboard. I managed to shoot -11 in round 2 after a bogey on hole 1 thanks to a 3 putt right out of the gate. So now I have to wait around to see if -15 is enough to make the cut. It'll be close due to the easiness of this course.

I'll play rounds 3 and 4 tonight unknowing if they'll even count. I typically play my rounds on nights my wife works (she works night shifts) and when my kids are in bed.

-6 after 2 rounds...ugh...need 2 good rounds to avoid strike #2...trying to use a new controller and every once in a while I send one straight left...

Good luck this week.

Well, round 3 proved to be not much better but then I made some putts in Round 4. I know I have to get better at 187 greens but man I 3-putted twice from 4 feet....

Round 3: -4
Round 4: -10

Total: -20

Probably too little, too late. Most likely playing for my CC-B life next week.

Yeah I'm convinced these guys that can do well in this game are the ones who have figured out how to putt and do so consistently. when I made my climb up through the CC ranks I got fire for a while and was putting great. Now that I'm on WEB, my putting has dropped off. I think most of it is due to the constant slopes of the greens played on WEB. What has killed me are the slightly down hill, side hill putts of about 10 feet that if you miss them by 4 or 5 feet past the hole it leaves you with a slick putt coming back. So you can't be aggressive at all and I tend to just baby those with no shot at making the first putt for fear of leaving myself a worse putt coming back.

Looks like I'm going to make the cut this week on WEB despite shooting just -4 in round 1. The -11 in round 2 climbed me up enough to either be right on the cut line or a shot better. I'm pleased that I've managed to make 5 of the 7 cuts thus far. Just wish I could get up and consistently finish better. Of the 4 cuts I've made thus far, only once have I placed in the top 25.

I'll have to play rounds 3 and 4 this week I guess. I haven't been able to stay up and play late at night like I typically do. I've cut out soda this week and caffeine with it. I've been in bed by 9:30 each night. And with 2 kids playing travel baseball, one of those also playing 7th and 8th grade baseball, and a 6 year old playing soccer, I have no time at home.

Demoted to C....

1st tournament is a major.

Round 1: -3
Round 2: -4

Decent enough. Round 1 leader was -7. I expect Round 2 leader will be 10-12 under, which leaves me in the hunt if I can find a -9 round in Round 3.

I hope all is well with you and your's.

We had a major last week. I made the cut and saw myself in the top 30 heading into round 4. I was hoping for a top 25 finish in the major. Round 4 was about the toughest I've played in a long time and I shot +3 in the last round. My worst round in a very long time. There was a LOT of bickering about the set up in the forum. I don't complain any as we all play the same course and its the same for everyone. I just didn't hit the ball in teh right spots and paid dearly for it. FInished around 44th or so I think.

I've made 6 of 8 cuts on the WEB so not too bad. Just not in any sort of contention really. Gonna play my first 2 rounds tonight for this week's event and see. This one is another tough course I believe.

Keep grinding man. I'm accruing my 2nd strike in CC-C this week... I think I made need to overhaul my "swing," which may involve a bit of a hiatus and maybe jumping back into designing a course instead of playing courses...

I'm trying a new approach this week. Playing later in the week after I see the scores. I'm afraid though this will lead to a very frustrating start as I'll apply pressure to myself knowing where the cut line will fall. We will see.

I'm still making cuts. Just not doing much in the form of finishes...

Round 1 -12
Round 2 -12

My -24 after two rounds had me in 4th place after two rounds. And that's with 2 bogeys and a 5 foot birdie putt that hopped the hole. I quickly concluded that slow and soft greens suit my golf game WAYYYY better than anything else. Was only planning to play first two rounds last night but felt I was hot and played round 3.

Round 3 kicked off with 17 mph winds that persisted the entire round, kicking up to 18 at times. I couldn't manage anything in round 3 and shot a poor -2. It dropped me to a tie for 10th. Currently right on the exemption line at -26. I'm going to create pressure on myself and play round 4 on Sunday and see what the exemption line will likely fall at before playing my final round...... Eyeing that potential first ever exemption to the PGA...

Has me in sole 5th place this week on WEB. Will be making my first appearance on the PGA next week after this exemption. I'm sort of shocked still. After weeks of mediocre play in WEB it clicked this week on soft greens and I was knocking down flags.

Awesome! Congrats!

I got my predicted 2nd strike in C....ha I am in the process of revamping my entire swing. I will probably skip this week is it is really a firm course. I really don't want to go down to CC-AM and I really don't belong there.

Good luck this week!

Went ahead and played my first two rounds on PGA.

R1 -9
R2 -9

We will see if that's good enough to make the cut. Scores are insane up here and -9 looks pretty average. It'll be a close call if -18 gets in. I won't complain though. I didn't have a bogey in either round. Let a few birdie looks go by that would have likely locked up my card but that's how it goes.

The projected Cut is falling at -17 at the moment. If that holds I'll be earning my PGA card. And with it all hopes of being competitive..haha

Congrats! I saw you were going to be real close. The good thing is that Sweeney and Garcia play mostly on the Euro Tour! :pickles:

I've completely revamped my "swing" and I have spent what time I have played this week just practicing. The tour event was a firm course. I'm not going to D because of a firm course, plus I really need to get this swing down first anyway. Feeling pretty good about it. Once I get a little better feel for distance control with it, my putting is going to be worlds better. Otherwise, I just need to stop with yips off the tee and on the approach. Getting real close I think. I'm looking forward to getting back to where I was and then pushing forward.

You can surprise some folks up there. They won't be expecting it! :hi5:
