-21. Only 3 under on front of Round 2 or I could have lit it up. Pretty decent start. I have heard that Round 4 is windy, so I need to go low again in Round 3.

Take it to them in C!
Shot 65 in round 1. Will probably land me in the middle somewhere. I blew a few chances. Missed birdies on 1 and 2 that were makeable. Lipped one out on 1 and left one inches short on 2. Missed judged a wedge shot on 16 I should have stuck closer. So very easily could have gone as low as 63 or 62. But I'll take it for a start. Hoping to just stay above the strike line this go around. I have failed to do that in my other 2 chances in C. I already have my card so hoping to just hold my own for a week or two and then maybe get comfortable and start making a run at a B exemption.

Round 3: 66
Round 4: 68

Finished -29 and back to B I go...I will probably finish in the top 25 and still get shipped back because I am at least 11 strokes behind the winner...2 double bogies, 1 in each of the final 2 rounds will be what sends me back. Disappointing after starting off like I was going to end up getting an exemption to the Web..

You have me scared of round 4 now. I didn't do well in Round 3 and put up 3 bogeys I believe leading to a 70 (-1). I'm sitting at -13 overall through 3 rounds and likely facing my first strike in C in my first week with a C card.

You know, based on what people said, I thought it was going to be windy and it wasn't. The pins were tough to get close to though. I was -4 on the front and doubled 11, I think and bogied 13....fought my way back from there. Narrowly missed a few but just couldn't get close enough to the hole on approach shots.

Hey....looks like I was mistaken. I only have to finish above the cut line to secure my exemption. So, being 6 strokes above the cut line and playing mediocre golf with difficult pins should secure my spot in A. Sweet!

I wound up going

Round 1 -6
Round 2 -6
Round 3 -1
Round 4 -1

The pin placements just killed me in round 4. I still think I lipped out 2 putts and a chip that could have swung the whole round for me. I too, had a costly double bogey on the back side that will likely earn me a strike this week. I'm 2 above the strike line after round 3. I don't see a -1 keeping me above it after round 4 though.

Yeah, you just have to stay above the cut line while on an exemption to earn a tour card. Looks like you'll be in A for at least 3 weeks now.

Well, well, well...so, we get an event that I should tear the cover off of and I take a dump on the course and it dumps right back on me.

Round 1: 65
Round 2: 65
Round 3: 68 (seriously? 2 double bogies...)
Round 4: 66 (3 bogies. I was -5 through 6 holes)

I think I holed out 3-4 times the last 2 rounds, which makes those scores even more comical....oh well, just couldn't get focused on it. Super busy at work and in the second week of a diet (haven't eaten meat in 10 days)....building a house...trading away all my players...I have all the excuses!

I sat down and played first 2 rounds last night. Saw the scores and assumed it was an easy course. And I was right. Course is easy. Wind does cause some issues though.

Round 1: 65
Round 2: 67

So far for me. Has me at -12 overall and right in the clear strike area. I had 3 bogeys in the first 2 rounds combined and was pissed each time. I was also off after having not played in about a week. I was missing fairways all over the place. But I'm hopeful I can clear my strike from last week this week.

I probably cost myself an exemption. For some odd reason I had it in my head I was out of the running in this event. The two 59s that were thrown up in round 1 had me thinking scores were gonna be VERY low and I needed to just hang on and stay above strike line. Even after the -12 had me in top 25 after first 2 rounds I thought I was gonna blow up and likely fall below the line. That was until:

Round 3 62

That -10 has propelled me up to 9th overall and just 1 shot off the exemption line. I played last night and figured I'd go ahead and ride out the hot play into round 4. Got it to -6, never really fully grasping I was making a run. I roll into hole 16 still at -6 and start licking my chops. MMMMM a tasty little 68 yard par 3? Probably the easiest hole ever in TGC Tours I thought. That is, unless you get cute and leave your tee shot short and watch it roll 10 yards down the hill. ONly to get cute with the chip and watch IT ROLL DOWN THE FUCKING HILL too. Needless to say, that tasty little par 3 turned into a bastard of a double bogey and ruined my round.

Round 4 68

So I finished the event at -26. Had I held on and maybe birdied a hole or two down the stretch I probably could have climbed into an exemption for B with something around -30. Instead, I'll probably slip down to about 15th-20th and just get that strike I earned last week erased off my record.

Ouch...I didn't say anything but I found out after I finished playing that if you got an exemption this week you were moved up to the next level without having to hold onto your exemption....so, you would move up to B for at least 3 weeks and I could have moved to the Web for the rest of the season...sigh...

What ticks me off is that the course was there for the taking and I crapped all over it. I bet I chipped in 6 times and still only shot -24 for the tournament...ugh...

I read that on the forums. Not sure why I had it in my head that I was out of it. But then again, maybe that mindset let me play better in round 3.

I thought this was the easiest course I've played on during my time in the Pro Circuit. Greens weren't very firm. Not a lot of drastic slopes.

Round 1 65
Round 2 63

Not a bad start I guess in this one, especially round 2 with 15+ mph winds. Was worried early when I saw low scores and I had a double bogey on a par 5 to start +2. Was -1 after 9 in round 1 but got it going after that.

Not bad. Rounds 3/4 are supposed to be calm. I haven't played a round yet. I imagine it will take -37 or so for an exemption in A...would like to shoot around -30 and get rid of this strike from last week...I've been playing decently in some of the community events, just need to circle back and not forget the tour...ha

Well, I played all 4 rounds last night and I think I'm going to be DQ'd....

Round 1: 63
Round 2: 63
Round 3: 64
Round 4: 67

-31 and an easy strike clearer, but doubtful on the exemption as I couldn't make a putt in the 4th round...ah, but there's more...

I hit my 2nd shot on #15 onto what I now think is a long extension of the green (I hate greens like that, but that's neither here nor there). I had a putter in my hand, the flag was still there and it said 116 feet. I was following SeanBorgnation, who shot -45, and is a great player who I fear is not at the CC level; I follow his ghost all the time. Anyway, out of the corner of my eye I see him hit a flop from virtually the same location...so, now I think something is just weird with the club selection. So I hit a flop and birdie the hole...upon further thinking the last 12 hours or so, I think I screwed up and broke the rule of no flopping on the green unless there is rough between you and the hole...

So, I have PM'd Doyley to self report myself and will probably be DQ'd and not clear my strikes and may actually accrue a 2nd strike...Stupid...

I actually saw that rule a few weeks ago. I actually think I did that one time in one of my first tournaments last season and didn't realize it was a rule.

Looks like Doyley is going to give me a pass unless someone sends him video evidence of the deed. So far nobody has. I'm glad I reported myself rather having him asking me about it when someone else reports it.

-9 after 2 rounds which is in the top 20 somehow, but vastly worse than it should have been. I double bogied a hole late in Round 1 when I missed a fairway and then had my 2nd shot hit some rocks and shoot way to the left and into the water...Kinda ruined any chance of an exemption this week...

73 in round 3...  :banghead: :furious: :bag:
62 in round 4...

-16 and probably dodged the 'ole strike. I can't explain round 3. I couldn't make a putt. Round 4 I had a double bogie and a bogie to go along with a couple of eagles (Hole in One) and 8 birdies...Just one of those tournaments where I didn't take advantage of what the course was giving me.

I entered this week fearing the worst... played in the holiday event and shot an 80 in a round. My swing had gone all crazy and I was slicing everything. Played first two rounds on Monday and went

Round 1 66
Round 2 67

I assumed the -9 would have me fighting off the strike line but it had me in the top 10 somehow. I had 3 bogeys in round 1 and just assumed I was doomed.

Found some magic though in rounds 3 and 4...
Round 3 61
Round 4 62

The -10 in round 3 has me in the top 5. I'm assuming the -9 in round 4 (-28 overall) will keep me in the top 5 and earn me an exemption to B for next week. I'm currently 5 back of the lead. Doubt I can sneak into the winners circle but I'm 2 back of 2nd so a runner up finish would be pretty sweet.
