Cool Book Thing of the Day...
My 8-volume set of Saga of the God-Touched Mage is up to #25 on Kobo's Epic Fantasy list. Kobo is like the Amazon of Canada as far as books go. Very fun.

They're strange little books, but if you grok the environment, you should like them. (I hope!)felipe wrote:just ordered vol1 of the PEBA series...looking forward to it

In case others are interested in a sort-run discount ... SGTM is now 50% off on Kobo - 4 days only.

Do they absorb that discount or do you feel it on your end, too? I'd rather buy them at a time that you're not getting screwed a bit if the latter.RonCo wrote:In case others are interested in a sort-run discount ... SGTM is now 50% off on Kobo - 4 days only.

Re: Cool Book Thing of the Day...
We share the pain.
Thanks for the concern. It is always going to be better for me personally if someone pays full price, but at the end of the day I'm happy for anyone picking up anything I have at any discount you can get. I like the $, of course, but the very best thing you can do for me if you like something I wrote is to hop on Kobo and Nook and Amazon and give it a nice review.
While I'm in full shill mode, I should note that I often give free books/stories and run special discounts for people on my newsletter ... which is, of course, free to sign up for.

Interesting. Do you have a order number or any other tracking item? I'll be happy to follow up with them.felipe wrote:I would like to add that stupid Amazon has not sent me my book yet
EDIT: And have they charged you for it?

Re: Cool Book Thing of the Day...
I ordered July 17, and waited a month, (they initially gave me a 28 day window for delivery) when the last delivery date passed, I called them, concerned that my card had not been charged either.
After my call, they immediately shipped the first part of my order (also ootp based 'Sip and Ale') - which I'm assuming will get delivered next week...and I got a new delivery window of Aug 23 to 30 for your book
Its all very strange, because when I initially ordered they indicated both books in stock and they both qualified for free delivery, and they gave me an order number and everything
Anyways I'm looking forward to reading both when I get back to my home in September
