Re: Indy 500
I was in Indy on Thursday and it was awesome how much the city gets behind the event... banners everywhere. Our hotel, JW Marriott, had a 33 story billboard devoted to the race. Super awesome. Fun race to watch today also!!

Re: Indy 500
I lived in Indy for 9 years after College, and south of there by 40 minutes for 20 years. Indianapolis has become a sports metropolis, but at the end of the day, it's really about the race. The entire month of May is electric in that city.
And, yeah, it was a pretty interesting race, too...though all the modern rules make it a NASCAR event for the first 150 laps, and then it gets interesting.

I grew up in a racing family and have been to IMS a number of times for different events, still need to get over there for the actual 500 thoughRonCo wrote:I lived in Indy for 9 years after College, and south of there by 40 minutes for 20 years.
