Custom Ammys, 2014

Post by recte44 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 11:22 am

Same opportunity as last year:

You get 1 PP for each Custom Ammy you create. Commish looks at them and will turn them into the closest existing ammy creation. Commish reserves the right to nix any entry for any reason.

Limit of 2 per GM per season.

As of 2002-2003, the Custom Ammys will be created as High School or College players, and they will evolve from there.

Name: Omar Aparicio
Bats: Switch
Throws: Right
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Caracus, Venezuela
Position: SS
Ethnicity: Hispanic
Bio: Aparicio is know for his slick fielding and speed. While he will never be a power hitter, he will slap the ball around and run his ass off around the bases. Pitchers will love having him in their infield. Little is know about his background, in fact we aren't even sure is this is his real name or if chose it out of respect for two of the games greatest fielding shortstops.

Name: Johnnie Oh
Bats: Left
Throws: Left
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Calgary
Position: Outfield
Ethnicity: Asian
Bio: The son of Sadaharu Oh, Jr. Johnnie was named for his father's teammate Johnnie Iraq. An outfielder like his Dad and namesake, Oh hopes to surpass both. He hits for power and average and won't hurt you with his glove. He has the genes, the question is did he also inherit a sense of entitlement. "My Dad didn't make the Hall of Fame, is looks like "Uncle" Johnnie might not either. So I guess I'll be the one."

Name: Space B. Tween
Bats: Left
Throws: Right
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Vancouver
Position: CF
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Bio: Tween hails from up north idolizing some of the great Vancouver Mounties teams of the late 90s and early 2000s. His idol has always been Douglas Newhouse and the young Tween hoped of following in Newhouse's shadow as an infielder for the Mounties. However in high school, Space's coach felt it best to utilize his blazing speed as a CF as his glove in the infield just wasn't quite up to par. Space set a single season stolen base record in the Vancouver Canadian High School Association (VCHSA) during his junior season when he swiped 87 bases in his school's 34 games played that season. With a solid glove, good range, and exceptional speed at a weak position in the MBWBA, Tween is expected to be a prospect to look out for in a few seasons.

Name: Roy Furious
Bats: R
Throws: R
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: New York, NY
Position: 3B
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Bio: Roy is a blue collar kind of guy who works in a junkyard during the off season. He has the power to get really, really angry, and that power manifests on the baseball field both in the strength of his bat and his arm. Unfortunately, it also manifests in extreme impatience at the plate and in the clubhouse. He is a good leader, but his temper gets in his way in getting along with people. If he can harness his power, he could be really something, but he has a ways to go to get there.

Name: Gow Cho
Bats: Right
Throws: Left
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Shenzien, China
Position: Pitcher
Ethnicity: Chinese
Bio: Not much is known up front about Cho. He was discovered by some unnamed MBWBA scouts who convinced him to come to the United States. The scouts were somehow able to convince Cho to come to the U.S. to finish up high school and by pass the international free agency period. A move that may likely cause Cho some money early on, it will allow him to finish up at least a high school degree before deciding whether to enter the MBWBA draft or go to college. Reports from scouts is this southpaw hurler has a very high ceiling...

Name: Eddie "The Shoveler" Macy
Bats: R
Throws: R
College or High School (not doing age anymore): College
Hometown: New York, NY
Position: 1B
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Bio: He's a construction worker by trade. Known to his co-workers as "The Shoveler" due to his uncanny ability to shovel well. Very well. This ability has produced an extremely strong bat that hits for power and rarely misses. Unfortunately, he really hasn't ever learned to play defense and will probably be best suited as a DH in the future. He's well-liked by everyone as his quiet demeanor and good nature ingratiates him with teammates and fans alike.

I'd have expected a shoveler to have an awful baseball swing... kinda like the discord between my softball swing and my golf swing;)

Name: Mike Deusterbeck
Bats: S
Throws: R
College or High School (not doing age anymore): College
Hometown: Viola, WI
Position: IF
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Bio: Mike is a scrappy middle infielder type with amazing range and a strong arm. At the plate he has an eagle guy with an ability to draw walks and almost never strike out. Away from the field he has no life. As a child, he was regularly bullied and beat up due to his size. After dealing with that for most of his life, it has given him a burning desire to succeed.

Name: Dusty Light Jr.
Bats: L
Throws: L
College or High School (not doing age anymore): High School
Hometown: Pensacola, FL
Position: OF
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Bio: The son of Dusty Light, Jr. is a five tool player in High School. Possessing the same intelligence and work ethic of his father, Jr has contact, power, speed, defense, and an arm that not many have ever come close to. Leading the Escambia High Gators to consecutive state championships, Light is a player that others have looked up to. The big question is, will he sign? Or will he go to Florida St?
