That's why I made the deal. I would have been okay keeping him and rolling the dice but I didn't like his extended history of close to a 6 ERA and his advanced metrics were actually even worse.

I acknowledge if he turns it around this was a terrible deal. But nothing in his history suggests he can improve to the point of being worth 6 million and he's about to turn 30.
