San Antonio/Sacramento

Post by shoeless.db » Thu Mar 14, 2024 2:50 pm

San Antonio receives:
RP Abdul-Muhaimin Muhsin BBA
OF Anibal Torres SA
$3m cash

Sacramento receives:
P Antonio Baldez DFA/Waivers

Please place Baldez into the open #5 rotation spot. Hopefully, the beautiful air in Sacramento will help him play towards his ratings for once. Done in game (I had to release a player for the cash to work).

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

I'm hoping we can reinvigorate (or just invigorate ...) his career like we did with Carlos Flores. We'll use him up then just trade him to @Lane right before his ratings lump -- you know, operation Rinse and Repeat.

SA agrees. Thanks for the deal! Hope he lives up to his ratings, or at least closer!

Maybe he’ll stop giving up all those homers in Sacramento. I would not have such a luxury.

Louisville also, where Baldez spent the bulk of his career, is fully turned up for lefty power hitters.

He's probably just barely 7 movement. If 6ish movement is going to work... It's going to be in Sacramento. Another added bonus is that the last portion of the season is all divisional games. I believe the Pacific is the least homer friendly division as a whole. So if he skips starts in San Fernando, he should be in a great position for success.

@trmmilwwi couldn't put Mushin in your bullpen as your roster was full
