Re: Rocky Mountain / Charlotte
There's a perplexing lack of prospects included in this one, especially since Charlotte is retaining 50%.

Prospects dont just have to be in the minors. Young guys on cheap contracts.BaseClogger wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:16 amThere's a perplexing lack of prospects included in this one, especially since Charlotte is retaining 50%.

Re: Rocky Mountain / Charlotte
not every deal is the same, and lets face it the prospect pool is kind of shallow right now, especially for a guy like wullenweber. One of the things i enjoy about this league is that we dont have a bunch of cookie cutter GMs.BaseClogger wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:16 amThere's a perplexing lack of prospects included in this one, especially since Charlotte is retaining 50%.

Re: Rocky Mountain / Charlotte
The only guy under 28 years old is Greenwood. You got as many players under 28 back in the trade as you sent. Seems like a lot depends on either an extension of Barber or trading him and for prospects and that essentially being the prospect return for Wullenweber.GoldenOne wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:20 amProspects dont just have to be in the minors. Barber = same number of years of control as Wullenweber
Fields = needs an extension or becomes a FA
Reis = 33 years old
Pedarzolli = needs an extension or becomes a FA
Munoz = two more years of control beyond 2054 so he's the main return
Greenwood = a prospect

The return Flores just got is an example of what kind of young talent Wullenweber could have netted if thats what the GM trading him desired.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:27 amnot every deal is the same, and lets face it the prospect pool is kind of shallow right now, especially for a guy like wullenweber. Re: Rocky Mountain / Charlotte
Depends on how you look at those AAA guys. Extensions were discussed, etc. Flores also has another year on contract (potentially) so ATC would be paying more also.BaseClogger wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:43 amThe return Flores just got is an example of what kind of young talent Wullenweber could have netted if thats what the GM trading him desired.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:27 amnot every deal is the same, and lets face it the prospect pool is kind of shallow right now, especially for a guy like wullenweber. Also, this is not the place to criticize a trade. Comment, sure. If you would like to go in depth and give your opinions, there is a Trade Analysis thread you can use for how you feel about a trade.

I didn't understand I needed to distinguish between commenting and criticizing or that I had crossed that line. I will refrain from commenting on trades going forward.GoldenOne wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 11:27 amDepends on how you look at those AAA guys. Re: Rocky Mountain / Charlotte
I think this boils down to Barber for Alaric, truthfully. At one time I had both of those guys.
And the drafts are really brutal right now.
